The BMW Car Club of Ottawa produces regular newsletters (4-6 per year) in hard copy. These are sent to all paid members.

Lower resolution electronic .pdf copies of the newsletters are posted to this forum a month after hard copy distribution.

Articles and photos are always welcome! Hagen Hohn (our newsletter publisher extraordinaire!) would love to get stuff to put in!

He can be found at hagen.hohn@sympatico.ca

The International Council of BMW Clubs also puts out regular electronic newsletters and they will be posted here as well.

Hey gang, always eager to get new content: anything car related.I'll take articles, DIY, stories, reminiscences (my wife helped me spell that), track days, fun runs, roads to share with people and more.

Our newsletter stands above the rest since we use a lot of photos. I'll take 'em any size but prefer as large as i can get them.

You may wonder why do a newsletter in this electronic age? Well, our by-laws require it and many members enjoy sharing and reading stories. However that does not dictate how we do it or it's format. We choose to do a full newsletter as it provides a cohesive format that is not available in an email format broadcast, twitter or facebook page. We also want it to be limited to the membership. Our advertisers also need a forum for visibility. Finally most people enjoy a "magazine" format. Lastly we print it for 2 reasons: you can read it anywhere and then pass it on, and 2. not everyone is capable of viewing rich content via the web.

If you feel strongly about the format, content or distribution, drop me, Dieter or Chris a line. Or better yet, fill in the survey.
