Some of you may remember Raphael Ready- he's a BMW enthusiast and has helped out club members over the last few years working out of his home garage.. we're pleased to have him as a corporate member and to find out that he now has his own full service commercial garage!

Located down Bank Street (just south of Hunt Club)-

Address: 2B- 1525 Sieveright Road, Ottawa, ON
Phone: Shop 613-482-6335 and my Cell: 613-866-1269
email: turboready@rogers.com
Website (under construction) www.turboready.com

We're setting up a tech session for February so everyone gets a chance to come out and check out the facilities, see what he's working on and meet him. He's working on a few projects- E30, E36, engine swaps, changing from auto to manual, installing turbos.. all kinds of stuff, plus available for regular maintenance and general work.

I'm looking forward to checking it out and we'll definitely be visiting his shop in the months to come! Congratulations Raph!

Many thanks for the intro Chris, it's very much appreciated. Some of you knew that for the last five years, I worked on BMW's for others as a hobby out of my fully equipped home garage. I have had my own BMW's, working on them for close to 20 years starting with a 1972 2002, a former Canadian show car.

Four years ago I met a guy, George, who came over to have his E30 ECU reprogrammed with some performance software and we became friends. He is a mechanic and after a few years and some brainstorming, we decided that we should open a full commercial scale garage.

We provide full repairs, maintenance service, complete engine rebuilding, and of course, offer many performance upgrades. We do custom work and full engine management implementations at fair and competitive prices. We strive to be perfect with what we do and we mostly use OEM parts which meets or exceeds BMW specifications, NO Chinese parts.

We have a 2200 sq ft garage with ample parking in and out, in a great location, very clean and very safe surroundings with many other bonuses. We are located one block south of Albion off of Bank Street in Ottawa, the Mazda Dealership is at the corner and we are just five to six minutes from Bank and Heron with no traffic.

PS. We do not have a font sign up as yet, we acquired our license to operate mid November which was too late to have a commercial sign installed. I will upload a photo tomorrow showing the front of the building we are in as a reference when finding us. There is another garage in the front of the building called Luis Garage, we are two bays behind him.

Monday - Friday 9:15 AM to 7 PM
Saturday         10:00 AM to 5 PM
Sunday           Oh come on, we need time to work on our BMW's too  Grin

Please feel free to call me on my cell if we are not there 613-866-1269

We look forward being of service to you with the hopes and expectations of establishing many friendships within the BMW community. We also pledge our support to the BMW Car Club Of Ottawa, Chris Pawlowicz and other board executives, hoping to enhance the purpose and well being of the club and its members.

Best Regards,

Raphael Ready

Thanks El Polo for the compliments, it took a lot of work to "create" the garage and our efforts paid off, it came out great. It would be a pleasure to meet you and many thanks for telling your friends about us, it's very much appreciated.

Many thanks for the compliments too Paul, we would be happy to be of service to you. The West End is not too far and we would shuttle you from Kanata or give you a huge discount to offset your fuel expenses to visit us  Grin

I sent you another email and will call you tomorrow.

Best Regards,

Raph.

Good to see a new shop...always great for the consumer Smiley

My questions:

1) Do you specialize in E46's as well? (In terms of SC installs etc)?
2) Do you have the dealer equivalent electrical/programming equipment for e46's? If so I will be there tomorrow Smiley
3) Are there any specials/deals that you plan to regularly post here?

Thanks and good luck. Hope to see the shop soon.

Sorry about the delayed reply, I was in Toronto for the long weekend.

Yes we do work on all e46 models as well and can install SC and turbo systems.

We have the engine diagnostic scanners and programmers for the software updates only.

We are looking into the programmers for other updates and optional features which can be turned on or off.

We will do promotions from time to time based on interest and needs.

I will arrange a few days soon for people interested in performance software updates to bring their cars over to have the software downloaded first. We will then look at the versions of software, do the mods to them and then upload them back into the engine management electronic control units.

Software versions vary for e46 models from car to car, so there is no single file update which can be applied to every car. Each car has to be read, software version has to be determined, software mod has to be done and then uploaded after.

Thanks for the kind words and hope to see you at our shop soon.

PS We are making arrangements to facilitate the tech session for February.

Best Regards,

Raph.

This is fantastic. I am sure that my cars will benefit at one point since I live 3 km away!

Cheers,

I had my first experience with Raph, and I am impressed.  Even with bad news (somehow I had THREE cross-threaded spark plugs), I was impressed.  I think this man will be my new mechanic, assuming he does simple oil changes and stuff.  Smiley  The man even bought me a coffee, what's not to like?  Cheesy

Thanks Raph!

Thanks for the kind words Bart, very much appreciated. Don't worry about the bad news, after all the bad news will only be followed by great and exciting experiences and results. I wish I could say but I won't.  Grin
