BMW Car Club of Ottawa Tech Session
Saturday March 27th, 10am-12am

Raphael has invited us to his new shop to meet him, check out his equipment, see what's going on, and find out how one goes about pulling the engine and gearbox from an M3!

More info to follow, but stick this in your calendar now. Coffee and donuts to be served. Please let me know (PM) or reply here if you plan on attending.

More info on Raph's shop from a recent post.

Count me in. If the weather holds, I may even be there with one of the garage queens.

Thanks Chris for giving us the opportunity to host the tech session at our shop. It's an honor for us and we do appreciate the special privilege to highlight our shop and to demonstrate our expertise.

We will be pulling out an S52 engine and gearbox from a 98 M3 sedan. We will do most of the preliminary prep work to facilitate the engine and gearbox removal, leaving the fun stuff until the club members arrive. I have attached a pic of the M3 from which the engine will be pulled.

We have a few neat projects on the go including a fully built turbo engine and a fully built all aluminum race ready engine which will be the power houses for two e30's

We are are building a turbo engine of which we did O ringing of the block. It would have been nice to have that engine apart showing the o ringing job we did but it will be together by the time we have the tech session.

Thanks so much and looking forward seeing you all.

Raph.

Bart we will make a special sign with a flashing arrow  Grin We hope to get the permit from the City to have a sign installed soon. For the tech session we will put up a temporary sign.

I have attached a map (no hating my arrows) it's simple to find. Heading South on Bank Street, you will have to cross over Hunt Club Road then cross over Albion Road, get into the left turning lane immediately then turn onto Sieveright Road, (Mazda Dealership is at the corner) look for 1525 Sieveright Road. The front of the building has a sign, J.C Sulphur Construction Ltd.

Thanks,
